I was hired by Nike to help digitize their shoe line. Before this project, every time they designed a new shoe, they had to produce physical pairs overseas. The goal of the project was to create 3D models of some of Nike's top-selling shoes, allowing all future designs and seasonal modifications to be made digitally. Another team scanned physical materials into tiling textures, which were used to create photorealistic renders. These 3D renders could then be used to sell to vendors worldwide, speeding up the process and giving the design team more time for creativity.
I co-led the art team with Marty Havran. We also outsourced some of the work to local vendors, and it was our responsibility to quality-check all incoming models to ensure they met Nike's standards. Once the main project was completed, I began creating seasonal variations.
Below are some examples of my work.
